Who to speak to...

If you are being bullied or cyberbullied, it is important that you report it to a member of college staff. This could be your tutor, a Mentor, Student Services, Security or someone who you feel comfortable to talk to. That member of staff will then ensure that it is reported centrally so that relevant action can be taken.

Dudley College's approach to bullying is focus on raised awareness of the cause and effect of bullying behaviour and a timely managed response. Students should report all incidents of bullying to a member of staff.

Bullying

Bullying is deliberately hurtful behaviour which is repeated overtime. There is often an imbalance of power which makes it hard for those being bullied to defend themselves. Bullying can be: physical, verbal, psychological, racist, sexist, sexual, homophobic, faith based, disability based, gifted or talented based.

Cyber Bullying

Cyber-bullying is any kind of bullying which takes place via electronic technologies such as texting, phone calls, social networking and websites.
