WHAT DOES THE STUDENTS UNION DO?

As a student at Dudley College you're automatically a member of the Students' Union. Your membership to the Union is free and it brings with it lots of opportunities for you to get the most out of your time at Dudley College.

The Union is here to make your life at college the best it can possibly be. We do this by making sure your voice is heard and giving you the opportunity to make the most of your time inside and outside your studies.

GETTING INVOLVED
If you are interested in getting involved in the day to day activities of the Union you can nominate yourself to become an elected officer. Elections will be taking place in late October. Working with the Union in an elected officer capacity brings with it a whole host of fantastic opportunities.

Action

CLASS REPS

Before October half term your class will be requested to elect a class rep, it may turn out to be you! It is for students to self nominate to this position and then for the rest of the class to decide who would be the best representative of their views about college life. Class reps will be fully trained in their role and will have a full understanding of how ‘learner voice’ can help make positive changes on course, at the college, in the local community and in some cases in wider society.

ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

Throughout the year the Union run a variety of trips/events which will include Freshers Fayre, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Ice skating, Whipsnade Conservation Park, Young People's Question Time, London, and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. There will also be a number of smaller trips/events running directly related to specific student clubs and student requests. All Union activities are open to all members.
